More sad news, a real gent and nice player.
Condolences to Rosemary and family.

So sad to hear Rod has passed. A real gentleman with exceptional talent, and a wealth of humorous stories. Rod was generous and kind, always encouraging me in my stumbling attempts to play the lap steel guitar.

Very sad news. Rod and Rosemary regularly came to the North East Steelies meetings and we all loved listening to Rod’s vast catalogue of tunes. His tales while we had our lunch were also worth listening to. I class Rod and Rosemary as friends and send my condolences to Rosemary at this very sad time.

What a character he was, a never ending stream of anecdotes and great playing, I always looked forward to meeting him at the NESGF. My thoughts are with Rosemary at this time. RIP Rod. Donny.

Deeply saddened.
I knew from Rosemary that Rod has not been well for some time, which is why they have not travelled up to here since covid.
But they are both dear friends and he is a very great loss to our fraternity.

Tis a shame to see this man gone! he was a giant in his time! RIP Rod, condolences to all.
