Commander Cody, has left the planet at the age of 77 one year more than I have made so far, I will miss George Frayne a hero of Rock his music will live on and i hope inspire future wanna be rockers. His art work was amazing and I am proud to own some of it.
My thoughts are with his family rest in peace George.

Thanks for that link John.
I somehow missed this band, but I'm now catching up. Bobby Black is tremendous. This is a great wee interview with the Commander himself, that shines a light for the uninitiated, like me.

I saw the band in the Apollo in Glasgow, they were different class. Now we're getting down to Seeds and Stems Again.

I always liked Commander Cody, and the Lost Planet Airmen, and eventually acquired half a dozen albums that I still play. A mixture of great American music styles, flashes of instrumental brilliance and lots of (tongue in cheek) good humor. Irresistible. Sad news indeed. R.I.P.
