Anyone who had attended Gerry Hogan's Newbury steel festivals would remember Tony Madison from the USA.
Tony passed away February 1st this month. Tony had spent years since the Newbury days in a care home in Surrey after having an operation for a Brain tumour that couldn't be cured. Tony was a main contributor to the BSS newsletters from the 70s until the time he fell ill. He was also a first class steel player who kindly done two steel guitar seminars for me and BSS members back in the 70s and 80s.
Condolences go to his family and friends in the US and also here in the UK.
RIP Tony.
