Thanks Ken,Will,Roy. Yes I am taking my time, I am still very weak but getting stronger every day. Been out shopping and walking following instructions by the hospital..

just an update, it's almost two years since my operation, things are going well, live each day to the full. unfortunately I did have some after effects from it, ended up with one kidney and that's not working correctly, I have got stage four CKD. Because the op took longer then expected and the blood supply to the kidneys was shut for longer one stopped working. but I don't have any side effects. from it...Still very thankful for the great job they did for me, NHS were amazing...thanks to all here for your support back then.

Thanks guys but I'm actually very well and still playing steel. I not in any great pain or unable to do things, maybe lifting the steel is a no-no but my wife does everything I can't do..thanks for your good wishes...
