Ha ha Mr Bingy Wingy!

You cant burn carbon as its already been burnt! Other definitions of carbon. Charcoal, DIAMONDS, lol.

If carbon is one of the prehistoric elements that make up wood along with cellulose, doesnt that make my guitar made of older materials than your new fangled wood covered in varnish? Heh heh.

Whats the matter, are you too skinflint to buy a nice shiny MSA with no sharp edges to puncture your wee pockets?

Lol. :-)

Now look 'ere you young whipper snapper - the carbon fiber is nothing without the tupperware plastic that it is suspended in to give it its body. If you buy an MSA without coloured tupperware, you can see the fibre material underneath. The tupperware resin is what the guitar is molded in.

MSA can't afford to make guitars from carbon fibre any longer as the raw product price has gone through the roof. I will stick to the wood body that is tried and tested thanks - what was good enough for Buddy, Jimmy, Weldon, et all is good enough for me. Can't recall any of them playing plastic geetars.

Davie, you wouldn't have sulphur left over after wood is burnt, sulphur is highly flammable - even if there is any sulphur in wood, which I doubt. But Ken can pull your leg about the Milly's carbon fibre body all he likes, if I ever got the chance to buy one I'd take it. They are so light!

Here is a post on the USA steel forum, where I give my real feelings towards the MSA Milly guitar.

Don't believe everything I write on this forum here - :P :P

By the way Spence - hope all is well with your ears and thumb! ;)

Ken, my take on the old carbon fibre issue is this,
you only have to carry the steel for 5 or so minutes but you have to listen to the damned thing all night.
Wood will do for me thank you and yes I am fortunate that I can still lift it.
I do appreciate that some people have bad backs and the lighter guitars are the only way they can keep playing. But I will struggle on manfuly with my lovely Mullen for as long as I can

Light aint always right

Asleep at the steel

Ken, should have added , Mr Gamble said "you only carry it for five minutes" , this may be true, but look what it has done to his body, (Quasimodo look alike) would you really want to end up like that? ;)

Sorry Spence we are forgetting about you, hope all is well with you and you are back to normal ( well as near normal as will ever be) . Hurry back to Dublin next year.

Hi
The Thumb works ok now ( now known as super thumb),its good to not have it working the way it should.
As far as the ears, known as (Wallace &Grommet) I can hear a lot of mid range and a lot of treble, lost some of the bass frequencies.
hope that will return, I do get a lot of popping sounds from both ears which is expected. Ken I wish you and all the guys playing in Ireland
great success. Malcolm mines a Jack Daniels a large one?
Spence..
