Dear all
I have just got home this evening. My wife and step-daughter collected me from the hospital this afternoon along with my medication that I will have to take for the rest of my life.

The paramedics that came after I rang 999 saved my life. I was in the ambulance outside my house for about an hour while they worked on me. I didn't realise that heart attacks were so painful. I noticed a little tightness in my chest on the Friday night while I was walking my dog. The next day was a little worse. I had a gig on the Sunday afternoon, but couldn't get a dep. That gig was very difficult to get through, and I told the band leader that I was struggling to get through it. I'd made my mind up to see my doctor the following day, but by 4.00am the pain was just excruciating so I knew I was in trouble.

I can say that since I had 3 stents put in one artery and one put in another one, I have never felt better. The 2 arteries had completely closed and that was causing the pain. The third remaining artery was doing all of the work. If it wasn't for the complications that developed I would have been home last week.

I have got to take things quiet now, and will be off work for 4 - 6 weeks. I couldn't access this site from my hospital bed with limited internet access, but could get the USA forum. I am so overwhelmed at your kind messages, the phone calls and the get well cards that I can't begin to express my thanks to you all. Many of you are good friends and those that I haven't met personally I feel as though I've known for ever.

Great news Ken. Take your meds and take things easy. Thank whatever God you believe in that you got a warning. Once you get over 70 lad hmmpmmhhhh. You'll have to get shot of some of those steels you've been hoarding now. Much too heavy for a man of your age to be lugging around. Seriously though good to see you back. Keep well.

I suppose You are fed up with people telling You to take it easy so Just live the quiet life for a while and listen to the doc.
