The fact that you bought a plastic pedal steel instead of a real wooden one is testimony to your meanness Malcolm.  Anytime you want to trade your Tupperware guitar in against a real one, just give me a shout and I will fix you up with a used SD10 Springfield (plus cash from you of course) Your end plates have some scrap value after all.

The last time you gave a tip to a waitress you told her not to buy tights from a mermaid!!

Spence's operation has gone well, and he is busy thumbing a lift back home. :D

Hi Ken.
Its my right hand now "super thumb" it will no longer get stuck when playing, which at times became a problem,
and very painful.

Spence, really pleased to hear you are on the mend, will miss you at Dublin this year.Mr Byng, the Tartan Mafia are coming for you, be afraid very afraid."The We Play Carbon Fibre" section ( McMaster, Adams, Holland and Thompson) , led by our Grand Master "Ivor the Driver", just want to let you know WE are at the cutting edge of technology, with the guitar bodies costing a small fortune, unlike those made out of orange box wood which a lot of you are using. We are happy to give any of you misguided souls a go on our magnificent instruments to let you see what you are missing. ;)

Never played a non-wood steel guitar Malcolm, just repeating what the steel guitar sage Bobbe Seymour said before Reece Anderson slapped a writ on him. :D Seymour's motto was 'If you can't afford a real steel guitar, buy an MSA'.

In all fairness (and seriousness), I once heard 2 sound clips of a steel player playing the same piece of music - one on an Emmons push pull and the other on an MSA Millie. I couldn't tell which was which on the recordings as they were both spookily similar in tone. Where the Emmons scores is that the player feels the vibrations and sustain through the guitar. I had a Rainsong prototype acoustic carbon fibre topped guitar in my possession once, and it was loud, lively and had a lot of sustain.

Anyway, back on topic with Spence. Well done mate, I'm glad it was a success. Trigger finger is the enemy of many musicians who need total dexterity in all fingers.

Hi Willy.
It looks like land of the giants will be playing this year, I gave the thumb a try out
yesterday it works ok but still has lot of stitches to contend with.
Thank you for your kind comments good to see Alan Thomson will be attending
he should be playing. I wish you all well at the Irish show.
