What happens when you pop your clogs...? Don`t wanna talk about it?, Fine, go read another topic
When a forum Bro goes, (and we are dropping like flies!!) these instruments that some of us have almost broke our backs to obtain are left with our ladies or bereaved relatives who know nothing of what they have inherited or what to do with it, quite often they find it difficult to part with the item and that too is perfectly understandable but, eventually, they realise that an instrument was made to be played, so, what to do? Just lately I have had the pleasure of assisting quite a few bereaved people to achieve the reasonable market price for their instruments and ensured they received every penny from the sale even if I had to work on the item to make it playable, there is a reward in this but it has nothing to do with money. For most estates where there is property involved, a steel guitar is a very small item but to some of us it can be the most valuable thing we have, especially if we own more than one!....... This brings me to the point of my post... When I go....(in the dim and distant future I hope) I nominate my friends, Bob Adams, Will Cowell and Mark Dunn to please come and collect my musical equipment, sell it for a reasonable market price and ensure my Daughter Rebecca receives the proceeds of the sale. And do it before the strings get rusty!
