The Country Family Reunion room is rapidly emptying. Jim used to regularly appear at the Opry, and was a well respected artist with his peers.

That's for sure Ken but it's nice to know we still have the pleasure of being able to see and listen to their music..Gone but not forgotten.. Love to the Family.

It's only when you realise who the singer of certain songs was, that you realise, we as the older generation have so much to be thankful for...the days when music was music and not something you wanted just to disappear. He will be sadly missed and my condolences go out to his family and all those that new him.
Looking at some of the 'Country Family Reunion Room' brings home just how many 'GREATS' have passed, and become more stars in the universe.

Jim Ed Brown has passed

Postby David Patterson » Fri Jun 12, 2015 8:38 pm

Just found that Jim Ed Brown had passed away due to a battle with cancer.

First listened to his great singing voice in the 1970's, but rediscovered him again thanks to the Family reunion shows, via you tube.

In my humble opinion, he was underated but he had an outstanding voice, even in old age.

One of my favourites is "The Old Lamplighter".
