Slim Whitman Passed today aged 89.
He was very poplar in Europe in the fifties and on.
His steel player certainly knew how to play harmonics

I am so sorry to hear this Slim was my country idol, it was his records that first set me on the road to country music.

Sad passing, another of the oldies goes, RIP Slim you gave lots of folks lots of enjoyment.
UK steelie Jerry West replicated the US recorded trademark harmonics to a T, he did many UK and European tours with Slim,what great days.
