Dennis Byrne R.I.P.

I am sad to report that my uncle Dennis Byrne passed away this week,Dennis was ninety one and a long time member of The British Steelies Society. He'd had an enjoyable sunny day visiting friends with his wife Betty but on returning home collapsed and died.
I don't know if there are folk out there who knew Dennis but Uncle Roy remembers him and he was friends with Brian Williams.
In the last few years he didn't play often but was interested and always encouraged me in my playing. One of the good old boys and a lover of good country music......Colin Scott Mitchell.

Colin, I am so sorry to hear this. As you said Dennis had been a member of the BSS for so many years. We often chatted over the phone and exchanged many letters over the years. Such a nice man. R.I.P Dennis
