Just read on the U.S Forum that steel legend Dicky Overbey has been moved to a hospice and been given days/ hours to live.
A truly great steel player.

That is tragic news. He is one of the all time great player of slow songs. He plays heartbreaker solos, and with as much soul as the late, great Jimmy Day. This is very sad news indeed.

What a wonderful player, once upon a time there was Hughey Land and then, there was Overbey Land, right away up in the dusty area of the fret board.

Just saw on Facebook that Dicky Overbey has passed away.So sorry to hear this ,never got the opportunity to see live, but was one of my favourite players.Will be sadly missed by all in the steel world.My thoughts are with his Family.
