Just had a phone call from Bob, he tells me our Ken is in Southampton hospital after suffering a heart attack at the weekend...........

John, Bob just called me as well, get well soon Ken, you are a wealth of knowledge.

After receiving the news from Donny a short time ago I called Ken's Wife.
Briefly She told Me that Ken had been in a bit discomfort which got pretty painful and they had to call the emergency services who arrived very Quickly.
Ken has had four stents inserted and there is a slight problem with one of those stents leaking,this has meant that He has to lie flat.It has been cofirmed that He has had a heart attack.Ken's Wife is hoping He will be allowed home in a few days.
I did not linger on the phone but told Mrs Byng that I would call again at the end of the week.

A big shock, hope Ken gets well soon.
I was with Bob this afternoon, Ken 's ears should have been burning, I have always always been a big fan of Kens playing. Left Bob, got an hour down the road and Bob calls me to tell me the news.
Thanks for the extra info Billy, sounds like they got him in time, thats so important.

I'm shocked to hear this news, Ken is a knowledgable and amenable forum contributor, with a steadying influence on some more excitable threads.
He's also a generous bloke, he helped me out by posting me a Shobud fretboard gratis when I needed one for my steel.
