I just heard from Slim that John Roach passed away yesterday, so sad may he rest in peace.

I was just talking to a friend about John a couple of days ago, I have his guitar case that toured with Frank Ifield, so we had
a chat about him as we discussed the labels on the well traveled case! Just got the news from Frank.

Oh, this really is not what we wanted to hear.
As everyone has stated John was a hell of a nice man and a good steelplayer.

I met John when he was playing with Frank Ifield, we did a show at the Aberdeen CC early 80s, I was playing with a band called Legend. A very nice man to speak to and a great steel player. RIP. Donny.
