Hi all, I'm a new member checking in. I'm an experienced guitarist, but new to non-pedal steel. I'm learning in C6 and trying to get to grips with those old Western swing sounds, and some old Hawaiian stuff (Sol Hoopii, Curly Chalker, Leon McAuliffe, etc). It's early days but I've fallen in love with it. Currently making slow progress with the Cindy Cashdollar Western Swing DVDs, Andy Volk's book and some YouTube clips from Western Swing Rules. If my wife hears me murder steel guitar rag one more time I'll be sleeping on the sofa! Looking forward to learning from the experienced folk on this site!

Hello Lukespad, it seems we're experiencing same kind of things, especially for the steel guitar rag issue
