Hi Everyone,

I've just joined the forum, and I wanted to say hello, and thank you for the excellent resources on the site. I'm a long-time music lover, and over the last few years I've been getting more into Americana, particularly thanks to the excellent Maverick festival which takes place every July in Suffolk (and with which I have no connection other than as a paying customer!). I've heard quite a few really good pedal and lap steel players there over the years, including regular appearances by B J Cole, and I'm now inspired to dip my toes into the water of lap steel playing, hence my coming here.

Uncle Roy - I am indeed married, but I have just retired and my wife still goes out to work, so hopefully that will give me plenty of opportunity to practice while keeping an element of marital harmony, if not (for a while at least) musical harmony!
