Hi Guys
Just wanted to say hello.
I have not been on here for about 10 years so I thought it time I
came back.
Not got any steel gear at the moment but I have been looking.

Choice between S10 Stage 1.
Or
WBS Basic.

Suggestions welcome.

Alan

Hello Alan,
Welcome back!
I've never heard or seen the Stage One in the flesh but have had the pleasure of hearing the WBS. It sounds great and by all account is well put together.

For my tuppence worth, I'd ask if you were buying these from new, because there have recently been a couple of amazing, pro level guitars for around the same money, for sale on the forum. And I'd think you'd be getting more bang for your bucks.

Good luck with whatever you purchase :guitar:

Hi Danny
Thanks for the welcome
Regarding the guitar I am open to suggestions but they need to be good condition
as I don't know enough about the Steel Guitar to do repairs.

Hi Alan, welcome back. For what it's worth, I have travelled to JD's several times from the wilds of North Wales - sometimes breaking the journey with an overnight stay - and would suggest that it would be well worthwhile considering the size of wedge you will likely be investing. If you went on a Sunday there could well be a Roast Beef sandwich to accompany the excellent cup of tea. :guitar:

Thanks gretschnut
Unfortunately I lost my ability to drive any distance a long time ago.
I am told it's perfectly normal as when I was working I was never off motorways.

Local shops is all I can manage now.
