Hello everyone, My name is Al and I'm delighted to join your forum. I am Scottish but have lived near Cork in Ireland for a number of years. I have been playing guitar for a while, and more recently lap steel. I am planning to start pedal steel in the near future and am sure I will find a lot of great information and beginner tips here.
cheers
Al

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, and the links Danny. There certainly is a quite a lot more to the pedal steel than I ever imagined. I am currently awaiting payment for a load of music gear I'm selling, and should have the funds to purchase a pedal steel within the next few weeks. Very excited about the journey ahead.
cheers
Al

Wow, I had no idea about the Irish Steel Festival. Unfortunately, I'm tied up next weekend or else I would definitely have made the trip. I have seen some of these guys awesome videos on youtube.
