Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster.

I started playing steel about 6 months ago, when I was loaned a 1958 Fender 400, and liked it so much I went ahead and bought it.

I thought I'd sign up as I'm at a point where I have a grasp of the basics and now need to expand, and this forum has proved quite often to be an invaluable resource and it's always nice to talk to fellow musicians who have succumbed to the steel disease!

Ha ha! Well put Harry and welcome from a fellow sufferer. You already appreciate how helpful a resource this forum is. What you should do is get along to the London meeting . I attend one up here in Scotland and it's been the greatest motivator and inspiration for me. I don't know why but steel players seem to be the most generous spirited musicians I have ever come across. I'm sure any problems you might have will be addressed here. Good luck with your illness.
