Hello everyone,

My name is John, 22 from Surrey.
I've decided to get in to playing pedal steel in the hope of filling out my own personal songs, which
are quite alt. country based and also for the enjoyment of playing!

I wondered if you kind folks might grace me with some information of good guitars to look at as a starter...
I've been thinking of the carter starter as it would set me up, though I do have metal finger picks, plastic
thumb picks, a volume pedal (of sorts!) and a tone bar already. It also seems to be the only thing under
£1000 which has a decent amount of pedals and levers...

I'd really appreciate any help you could offer!

I've just spoken to John Davis, who was very informative and helpful.

Since I have the necessary accessories I can get probably afford to get away with buying a pro steel. I look forward
to finding out a bit more before I make the jump though!
