I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to you all. I've been playing bottleneck for years, and after years of longing I've decided to splash out and enter the world of pedal steel... I've not managed to get myself one yet, but just from scanning through advice you've given to others I think I've a decent idea of what I'm looking for.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you and learning from you!

Hello Tom, You are welcome on the site, we need all the steelies we can get. You are very lucky, staying in Bath, there are quite a few players around your area. Look up our glorious leader Uncle Roy, he holds a monthly meeting in Siston. I'm sure through his old fuddled brain he can put you on the right track.

Welcome. I'm a newbie too, only been a member for a few weeks but I've already received lots of help and advice from forum members. Just got my first PSG . John Davis has organised a get together on the 9th Sept at Gt Barford nr St Neotts Cambs which will be an excellent opportunity for us newbies to see some superb players and pick up some tips.

Thanks everyone! It's great that this place exists as a resource for budding steelies... I'll try to make it to one of the meets soon, need to grab me a psg first though!
