Newbie from Glasgow
Just a hi to all here.
I'm a bass player really, but have always been intrigued with pedal steel.I managed to pick up a steel a while back, but due to continuing ill health (I've had M.E./CFS and chronic pain for 6 years now) I wasn't well enough to play it. Even setting it up is too tiring and painful for me.
With some help I've now moved things around so I can have the steel fully assembled all the time and not sitting in its case gathering dust!
The pedal steel is one of the toughest instruments I ever seen, but the sound is going to be worth all the effort. I have a couple of the Jeff Newman courses to be getting on with and they contain A LOT of information! Going to be a long haul!!
