A big welcome to both Graeme Jaye and Professor Mike Idhe (Berklee College instructor).
Both will most definitely be an asset here..

If you click HERE you'll find a mention in the faculty notes that says:-
Professor of Guitar Mike Idhe just released his second CD of lap steel guitar instrumentals containing 11 selections of classical, jazz, and pop tunes arranged with a tuning devised by former Berklee faculty member Bill Leavitt.
WELL worth getting

As for Graeme, I recommend that you listen to his compositions, excellent, AND he's also an accomplished recording engineer. Probably has the answers to the many audio questions posed here..

welcome guys, graeme, i welcomed your few posts on the old site re; recording, thought, great here is someone i could learn some recording techniques and ask advice of, apart from Basil,[who has been very helpful] for my fledgling home studio, and was very annoyed when you were kicked off the old forum, thankfully, them problems are behind us now, also, i recall you were asking advice as you are new to PSG, loads of advice will be available to you on this forum, and Mike, good to have a top class pro player like you amongst us, i will be visiting Boston MA. sometime in september, for the first time, as im doing two gigs there, as well as some dates in Chicago, i dont have details yet, as i was only told provisionally last night to get my passport in order,
anyway, welcome aboard guys

Thanks for all the nice comments guys - it's nice to fell welcome. I just had to give up on the old site, never worked properly for me and I kept losing my registration, etc. so it's good to be back.

As STEDDIE EDDIE correctly recalls, I am new to psg and still very much finding my feet with the instrument, but it's early days. And yes, when I worked for a living, I was a recording engineer and I'm happy to try and answer any questions that may arise.

Incidentally, I will be going to the CISGF 2010 festival - http://www.chanos-isgf.org/steel%20guit ... 0home.html - so if anyone else is going, let me know, as it's probably one of the few occasions when we can meet 'face to face'.
