Hi, New to this Forum and to music (the second/third time round).
I have had to restart my musical journey with added disability to make it an entirely new Path.
I restarted my musical journey after Encephalitis an illness I thought I had successfully swerved almost all lasting after effects.
my body chose to prove that belief entirely incorrect. meaning my bones are very fragile and I have no balance. so wrists are damaged.
bones removed from various surgeries. and cut several finger tips off as no spatial awareness.
bought and mastered a 21chord O.S Americana autoharp, lugged it in and played all the tunes you can't on an autoharp cos No one had said any different.
Then started with 3 string and slide. Built a Lap steel from a piece of a scrapped 1913 RN 'D19' Naval steam pinnace. Bought a junk resonator repaired same.
Gradually have been mastering basic slide & resonator ever since but can't concentrate on one so in more than Tandem I am teaching myself.Bass (can't spread fingers too well so haave a Blackstar Carryon Bass (amazing bass - sounds full size). Melodica/Piano/synths, Banjo and saxaphone.
