TUNING CHOICE

Hi.Another old guy here , making a last ditch effort to learn to play something before it's too late. Just ordered a Harley Benton lap steel to try out.
I love the bluesey sound of open E tuning but there don,t seem to be many online tutorials for E, so maybe I will tune to G. is it hard to switch playing from one key to another or would other players reccomend sticking to just one from the start. AdDavid.vice appreciated.
