The changer looks like "All Pull" to me. Possibly styled after early Sho-Bud?

Pull release changers don't have have the split pivot arrangement, just a one piece solid pivoting on the axle.

That is definitely the same way mine operates. I don't have raise assist springs however, or raise stops on the changer finger itself. I might look into a way of adding these as it would make tuning far easier.
Having said that I think there are benefits to having the stops on the crossrods like it is currently as this prevents any excessive force being passed to the bell cranks/ pullrods/ changer.
There are definitely a few parts on that shobud that look very similar especially the adjustable pullrod stop nut (hope this is the right term?)
I have been trying to find a source for these for ages to no avail, so recently made my stainless/brass versions.

Simon, I have directed Jed Oatham to have a look at this page as he bought one of Dave's steels and has been looking for years to find it and if poss. Buy it back!
Either way, it will help to identify the guitar.

When I bought the guitar it had no pedals, pedal bar or legs so I have made stainless legs with an ally insert threaded to fit the guitar. there is no height adjustment currently. They could do with a rubber foot at some point.
The pedal bar and pedals I have made are so crude that I am embarrassed to post a photo. It's all made from 1" square timber and angle brackets!
This was just to test functionality though before I built the final product which is well underway and hopefully will be finished in a few weeks.
It's a completely different design to anything I've seen on a psg and superior from an engineering perspective. If it works as well as I hope I'm tempted to apply for a patent. Watch this space!

I've put a lot of thought into this project over the years and would like to see it through to completion and play it for the rest of my days.
I would of course sell it to someone who is sentimental about it but it will need a lot of work to return to it's original state (if we can work out what that was).
I'd also want pretty good money for it as I have "the bug" now so I'd have to replace it with another half decent 3x5 E9 sd10.

Simon, I think your "adjustable pull rod stop nut" is called a "barrel tuner"

Ah yes, Barrel tuners! that makes sense. I need to make a load more now as next job is upgrading right knee mechanics. I've found the tiny grub screws on the originals get seized easily and it's easy to round off the tiny Allen head, so mine work better from that perspective but they are slightly bulkier so may not fit in all applications.

I've finally finished my pedal bar/pedals (besides a few tweaks) so have put a couple of photos in the steel guitar technical section.
I'm guessing that is the correct place to post updates on the build rather than this new member section?

Many thanks to all of you who have replied above and pointed me in the right direction with this.
I have put several posts in other sections of the forum which have had no response whatsoever. I've found this quite disheartening to be honest as I would value any feedback so I'd like to know if there is a problem where my posts are not being seen or perhaps my posts are just to boring or obscure to warrant a response?
besides that, I hope you've all had a good Christmas and new year and thanks again for all the replies I've had on this initial post.
