Hi All

My name is Alan and i just joined the forum.

I am 67 years old and retired.I have played 6 string guitar for 55 years,and i had my only Steel Guitar
back in 2006,it was a WBS,made in Germany.

I taught myself to play a few tunes on it,i was going to put one here but thought better of it.

I don't have a Steel Guitar at the moment,i am thinking i am a bit too old to take it up again.
I have lost touch with what's good and what's not so guidance will be needed should i decide to
try again.

Your comments will be appreciated.

I'm sure i have spoken to you before,i think you were booked to play at our
Floral Hall but for some reason i couldn't make it.

That must be 8 years ago.

Welcome. You asked for comments, well here's my tuppence worth. Go for it. It's not too late. You have a few years on me and I only took it up a couple of years ago, and I can tell you it's feeding my soul.

I also think John Davis' front room could be the place to rekindle your interest.

This forum is a great point of information. Good luck with your decision.
