I was reticent to say more because I didn't want to spoil the perceived knowledge base.

I am trying to make sure I have to hand all the things I will need for my pedal steel when it arrives
I need to ask about seats ( no not moles asses ) the sort for sitting on while you play PSG

How high does it need to be ? I assume sitting at the right height is important
I am quite tall 6'-4", Will my music stool that adjusts from 20 to 23.5 inches be ok ?

Don

Hi Don, go see this little video I did for beginners, I'm no qualified teacher I just like to pass on some of the short cut's that took some time to figure out when we had no info regarding how when and where, hope it help's you get started.

Hi Don,
With regards to a seat, I bought a Tiger seat from Amazon. It is almost identical to other seats on the market but at half the price.
I'm in a similar situation to yourself. Although I've been playing pedal steel on and off for a number of years it was always my second instrument.
Now I'm looking forward to becomming more proficient on it having semi retired.
I too have recently purchased a Bennet from Ron Bennet, its a SD10 with 4 pedals and 5 knee levers. I'm only used to 3 pedals and 2 knee levers
so I have a lot of work to do.
