Hi, great to be a member here - failed the validation question about the forest and the trees a couple of times when I was registering so I hope it doesn't get any more difficult  Look forward to being in touch with other Steelies, particularly from the West Midlands.

I've been playing for a few months now and have a Carter Starter and a Peavey Session 400. I play double bass in a busy Country band and I thought that standing next to the Steelie at gigs might help me learn by osmosis...but it hasn't worked, so I'm busy working at it now. It's slow but I’m loving it! The Carter has been a great way to get started but I'll be looking out for a Sho-Bud in the not too distant future.
