Any players in Bristol?

Hello All,

I'm a guitarist and songwriter based in Bristol. I play Country mainly and I'm putting a band together. Is there a keen Country pedal steel player hidden away in Bristol somewhere that would be up for a practice? The band will be mainly for fun but we'll be awesome so we should get some good gigs in Bristol!!

Also have you heard this guy?

Hi Charlie, welcome aboard, I only know about 3 or maybe 4 Steel players in Bristol but our Guv'nor Uncle Roy will know all of them! your best bet is move up to Cambridgeshire there are lots of us up here

there are a few players in the Bristol area. Uncle Roy should be able to enlighten you. I'm in Cardiff which is close-ish. How often would you want to practise/gig?

Daniel Romano played in Cardiff earlier this year and I went to see him. I'm a big fan of his new traditional sound and he put on a good show.

Hey. I am new around here and am yet to get a pedal steel, but am based near Cheddar in Somerset and play country acoustic guitar, telecaster and dobro (plus a bit of banjo). Looking to buy my first pedal steel, so would be a learner, but have been wanting to hook up with a country band. I like the link you posted, but am not familiar with the guy. My interests are Byrds, Dylan, Gram and Emmylou, Flying Burrito Brothers, old time and country blues and Heartworn Highways stuff, plus modern Americana like Wilco, Calexico, Gillian Welch and what not. Get in Touch if I would be any good to you as I could be well up for it. James
