Tuning and accessories

Well, the Post system finally came through, and today I received my John Pearse bar that, the bigger one that allegedly was the kind John Hughey used. I can put my trusty 1" deep well socket back in the tool box.
I had previously tried to use the ergonomical bar with the finger groove on top, but it wasn't nearly long enough and kept getting a "plink" on the 4 and 3 strings. Hope this will help my learning curve.
I would also like to ask where or what video gives a better explanation on tuning. I have a Boss TU 3 tuner, but I am thinking I will try the Korg with the needle. While I don't understand cents I understand what they are saying, and am finding it difficult to deal with tuning the lever and pedal sides of the machine, and especially in the #'s with the * or - cents tunings.
I know it isn't rocket science and I have a pretty decent ear, but something is still escaping me.

As you have probably discovered there are as many methods of tuning as there are players
I use a tuner app on my phone,it's Android but the same apps are available for IPhone. The one I use is PitchLab Pro, there's a free version but the Pro only costs a few dollars and is much better. It caters for custom tunings and temperaments and offers a variety of screens.

I use a sweetened tuning, in other words some notes are set so many cents flat and others sharp whilst some stay at concert. To do this I set up a custom temperament in PItchLab Pro, defining each note. This works right through tuning the pedals and levers. Different guitars require different settings but here are mine,
C O, C# -15.7, D -7.6, Eb -9.7, E 0, F -27.8, F# 2.5, G -3.4, G# -9.9, A -6.4, Bb 0, B 1.3
All these values are cents.
