Hi folks. It's good to be back in the BSS again after all these years. I still have my original membership card (Member number B30) which I received from Mr Roy Heap when I joined in 1991, back in the days before we had this wonderful online forum and we had to eagerly await the BSS newsletter which I think was published monthly. It was a great read.
Unfortunately, I gave up playing about 20 years ago when time became too scarce, but now that I'm retired time is not a problem. Praise the Lord!
My wife recently bought me a really nice old twin neck PSG which was made in the '70s by Clifford White and I'm gradually getting to grips with it.
Something I have discovered ..... playing a pedal steel is NOT like riding a bike .... you DO forget how to do it!!
Still ... I'm not in any rush to learn how to play it and will just take my time and enjoy the experience all over again.
Looking forward to getting involved asap.
Awrabest frae bonnie Scotland.
Richard.
