I commend your approach to the Uni12 - it IS a different tuning and should be repected as such rather than seen as something to ape E9th/C6th sounds but doing neither quite as well.
Yes, keep in touch - I live in the village and get into (NESGF venue) The Buck "early doors" some days and most Sunday lunchtimes. There are often local-ish jazz bands on Sundays and they have a website with details.
