Hello. New on here, never posted on a forum before and also don’t know a great deal about pedal steel guitars other than watching my father play over30 years ago! My father was an avid pedal steel guitar player in the 80s/90s. Sadly he passed away aged just 54 which was over 20 years ago now. Anyways, he left behind a “White” single neck pedal steel guitar, which we would now like to pass on to another avid pedal steel guitar player. Can anyone help with this? Anyone have any advice? I have attached a photo. Potentially looking to give it away for free? I don’t know if this is a crazy or sensible thing to do?

Hi Julie, and welcome to the forum, that is very generous
of you to offer your Fathers steel for free and I am sure there are many out there that would be pleased to receive it however, it does have a value although they were a little bit agricultural in construction in todays market as demand is so high by wannabee steel players 300 to 500would be reasonable depending on condition.
If you could get it to St Neots Cambs. I would be happy to service it re string and help you rehome it. F.o.c.
