Hello, help with restoring a pedal steel

Hi I joint this group a long time back I seem to remember but never posted, my dad has had an old lap steel in his garage for the best part of 20 years and he has asked me to find info about fixing it up, as it stands it's a 12 string with the bridge roller nut and tuners, it is however missing all the mechanism and pedals from the under carriage. It's also missing the electrics but he winds his own pickups and so him deciding to wind a 12 pole pickup for it was how this long over due restoration project seems to have started. I'm trying to find and help advice or resources that I can direct him to to get it finally working.
