Book by Doug Beaumier

Postby nevada150 » Sat Jul 09, 2016 6:52 pm

I recently bought Doug Beaumier's new book, "25 New Tunes For C6 Lap Steel", and I can't recommend it highly enough.
All 25 tunes are clearly TABBED and there are also 2 CD's. CD 1 has Doug playing all of the tunes and CD 2 contains backing tracks. If you are interested follow the link below for details.

Worth every penny, Keith. Thanks for the heads-up! I just love Doug's tone, there's something distinctive about it, you could hear a Doug Beaumier track and know it's him playing.

I also recently received this book already having book 1. A great tutor with backing tracks and playing track.
I contacted Doug about his playing technique for track 2, "Apache". He was most helpful with tips and confided he uses a thin Guitar pick for this track in order to get the tremolo pick sounding great. Another skill to learn!
Brilliant confidence booster when sounding good to a bedroom player like me.
Worth every penny.
