This is another one on the National. Not to Lloyd Green standard but plenty of slants and fun to play.

Great sound Mick.
Along with your version of Georgia, that's one of my favourite Lap Steel posts.
Keep them coming.
Keith.

Thanks all for the comments I really appreciate it.

Before getting the National I used to look around YouTube in the hope of seeing one being played. I just loved the look of it, crazy 50's bright style. There was hardly anything about and other comments tended to suggest that this guitar was more of a toy and that to do anything serious you needed a Fender. Other National models tended to be used for scared steel and blues. Someone even posted my version of "Sunny Side of the Street" on the American forum and the title suggested to me that this was a bit of a surprise because it was "on a National". (That reminds me I must follow up my application as I paid my money and completed the form but no response - must check paypal.

I hope I have gone some way to suggest that a sweet sound can be coaxed out of this. Compare with my version of Blue Steel Blues and you will see the difference. I'm learning - and it's great.

Next task is a bit of Doug Jernigans "Home in San Antone" - Now that's gonna be a challenge.

I love that tune, and you inspired me to get straight down to work on it myself. There's that lovely descending note under the minor chord that I keep bumping into everywhere. great stuff, Mick!

I love that falling line as well, Will. Surprising how often it comes up in tunes.
