Project III !!!

Here I go again.
While I was making Project II, I realised I had enough "bits" to make number III, a Strat body, an Eko Ranger neck and tuners/pickup donated by my brother.
OK, so I ran two projects in tandem and here are the details of Project III. It's obviously a Strat body (copy) that has been "de-horned" and my son thinks it's a bit like a Danelectro! That wasn't intentional, but he's a bit right. The neck is from a 1960's Eko Ranger folk guitar. I have one here at home and the neck became very twisted whilst I worked in the Middle East due to the high ambient temperature, so I bought this replacement neck from eBay. Before I fitted it I took the original to a luthier friend (Russell Bennet - check him out on eBay - his acoustics are fabulous and priced good for hand made guitars) and he managed to straighten it by heating it and applying a reverse twist. So I'm stuck with the eBay neck.
I fitted it to the modified Strat body and used an Ibanez jazz pickup along with "snot green" Gibson tulip tuners. The finish is again car spray, this time Black Satin with clear lacquer on top. The bridge and nut are made from 15mm aluminium angle, albeit the height has been reduced to 12mm. The fingerboard is yet another supplied by Bruce Wei and it's fantastic. Dark rosewood with Mother of Pearl inlays, (£35 delivered to UK). The routing at the trem end of the body I blocked with a bit of Pine and used an old hard-tail assembly to cover it and attach the strings. It's tuned to C6th and sounds good to me. I WILL attach some sound clips soon, I'm still a beginner and not too confident of my abilities yet.
Well, it's not your classic Lap steel but it used up a few bits that were doing nothing. It plays well and I think my son will be claiming it next time he visits Hartlepool.
Here's a picture of "what's that" and my other efforts.(It's the one in the middle, duh)
