Can some one please help get me geeky. I have used the settings of Danny on the VD400 and much playing around have it somewhere I am happy with. The neighbours along with their mice moved out!!! and now as they are moving back in I am trying to dial in the reverb pedal.
Level is set (all looking at clock face) 9
Tone is set between 7 and 8
Time is set at 12
The reverb is set for Spring

I run a Peavey Rage 258 with a 12" Jensen speaker.
Morely volume pedal and the two other pedals after the vol. 1st VD400 then DR600

Any help on a basic start position would be much appreciated.

Hi Maurice,
I find with reverb it's very much a personal taste situation, and is very much dependent on the tune being played, slower, relaxed pieces can take a bit more of the bigger, longer reverbs than a faster piece, were a longer reverb might sound muddy, and a short, brighter reverb would be more appropriate.

I guess my equation would be; slow/long and soft, fast/short and bright.
Soft and bright being 'Tone'.
Long and short being 'Time'.
I think your 'Level' setting is a good start point.
And 'Spring' is the classic choice, although if you're knocking out Danny Boy, you might try venturing into the 'Hall' type.

I hope this makes some kind of sense, personally I like to err on the less is more approach with reverb, just enough to put a little bloom around things, like the way the world appears when I'm outside a lovely bottle of red.

Thanks for the heads up Danny...I've decided to try and get farther away from the little devil and see if I can get a better hearing of it. I was sure you'd be able to point me in the right direction...unfortunately at the moment the red, rosé or white are out of bounds. Trouble of no copper in the system and white blood cells that are not visible. Biop on the Liver the other day and waiting for the results. Apart from that I'm fine the rest of me is still where it should be and some of it stands to attention as it should. It is now 6:30 pm and the temp is hovering 33°C so just starting to warm up. As soon as I'm able I will have a nice glass or red to salute your offerings.
