Just fitted a Multibender to my Magnatone works and sounds great. D tuning raises strings 1&2. Like A&B pedals.

Hi, I was interested to read your comments on the "Magnatone". As I am disabled I am looking for a system of Palm benders to fit or have fitted to my "Gretsch" lap steel. I have been looking at the Duesenberg but it looks as though the only suppliers are Thonman in the U.S.A. Do you know of any British dealerships that supply any of these systems. Your assistance would be greatley apreciated. Thanks.
Brian Harris.

Hi Alan,
That looks smart. I have a problem in as much as: I have enough trouble getting either hand to do the normal things without having the added bender to work as well.
Brian I think you might be looking at Thomann which is based in Germany...they ship all over the place, and to help they usually have at least three people who give help in your own language. They have the Multibender's in stock and also sell the wammy bar as an extra...The last time I looked it was close to €300 for the bender and €47ish for the Wammy Bar.? I think you might also get cheap delivery because it is over a certain ammount.
If you go onto the Thomann site pick your UK flag and it will come in English with Sterling price.

Hi Brian, Don't know where you are geographically but I bought a Deusenburg Fairytail lap from Jimmy Egypt & Son in Glasgow, I had contacted Deusenberg and they gave his details as he is a Deusenburg dealer, he was most helpful. Good luck in your quest. Donny.

Hi Donny,
Much obliged for your info. As a disabled player I need to substitute pedals for a hand system and will be attaching the multibender to my "Gretsch" lap steel. Thanks also for giving me this dealership.
Best regards.
Brian Harris

Brian, I have not seen a picture of your guitar but make sure there is enough room behind the bridge to fit the multi changer. Donny

Donny that sounds like a good piece of info. I'm was gobsmacked to see the prices of the parts...not cheap by any stretch of imagination. Added to that how much room do you actually need to fit one of the gizmo's? And once fitted how often do you have to change the strings, cos, us mortals using 8 string planks only have to change strings high days and holidays!!!!

Donny if you're still itching for the red stuff, I've found a really good Cahors Red from Chateau Gaudou, tastes like the old Cahors Black Gold...lovely Chateau on the side of a hill not too far from me...near a place called Castelfranc 46140. I don't expect you'll find it it Tesco!!!!!

Dead right I have little faith.... I would imagine that little offering at over £7.00 is far tooooo expensive. Gaudou €5.45 . Now a good Malbec is what Cahors is about, but has that been bought in bulk from one of or several cooperatives, whose parcels of land are on the poor side???? But seeing as I'm spoilt for choice, Salut, bonne santé. Bon appetite and all that. We can't get into a Bar or Restaurant at present...they'm all bolted up!!! :guitar: :guitar:  8-) 8-)
