Help Needed on Tuning

Hi All,
Can anyone help me with what tuning Cal Hand is using playing Deep Water on his 6 string lap Steel

As a beginner lap Steel player, love this tune and would really like to learn this version of Cal's

From what I see and hear he is using a C tuning of some type although if that is the case he has a high G as the first string. Judging by his bar placement there is no A string. It's in the key of G and I was playing along at the same fret placement starting at the 7th fret. My guitar is tuned to C6. Hope that helps.

Should we be disturbed that there is a 6 year old smoking a pipe in the left-hand foreground...? I guess it's not yet lit, so maybe nothing to worry about :lol:
