Bridge

At the start of this section place the bar on the second fret but leaving the
the first string open to play the first 4 notes and for the fifth note push
the bar forward so that it now covers the first string, then immediately
slide the bar up to the 7th fret. Lets the notes ring whilst doing this.

G |-0---------0-/-2-/-7~~~~~--6-/-7--9~~\-7-------------------------------|
E |----2---2~~~~~~~~/-7~~~~~--6-/-7--9~~\-7---9~~--7-7~~------------------|
C |----2---2~~~~~~~~--------------------------9~~--7-7~~--9-\-7-/-9~~~----|
A |-------------------------------------------------------9-\-7-/-9~~~----|
G |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
C |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

At A, hold the note on string 2 while twisting the bar to lower string
3 one note at a time.

G |------------A-----------|-9-9-7-7------|-------------------------------|
E |-10-11-12---12~~~~~~~12-|-9-9-7-7-9-9--|-------------------------------|
C |-11-12-13---13\12\11-10-|---------9-9--|-------9-\-7~~~~~--------------|

E |------------------------|--------------|-8-9~~~~-----------------------|
C |------------------------|--------------|-------------------------------|
A |------------------------|--------------|-------------------------------|

G |--------2-------------------|--2-----------|-9-9--7-7------------------|
E |----------2~~~----7~~--7~~--|----2---------|-9-9--7-7-9-9~~~~~---------|
C |-----2----------------------|------2--1~~--|----------9-9~~~~~---------|
A |------------------9~~--9~~--|---------0~~--|---------------------------|
G |--2-------------------------|--------------|---------------------------|
E |----------------------------|--------------|---------------------------|
C |----------------------------|--------------|---------------------------|
A |----------------------------|--------------|---------------------------|

G |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E |-----------------7-----------------------------------------------------|
C |-4-/-6-/-7~~~-------6-\-4-\-2~~~~~~~-----------------------------------|
A |-----------------------------------------------------Done--------------|
G |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E |-3-/-7-/-7~~~-------5-\-3-\-2~~~~~~~~----------------------------------|
C |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

On the second time around the bridge after the piano part I use an
alternative to the horrible bar twisting at A. Then continue as before.

G |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
E |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

E |---14-15-16~~---16-15-14-10~~------------------------------------------|
C |-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

Thanks for that Mick, I may have a go at it sometime.
Producing a TAB like that takes quite a while and I'm sure other Lap Steel players will appreciate your time and effort.

Bugger - I was just listening to my version on Soundcloud and realised I have left out the end section. Never mind. I will do that as a separate tab.

As usual the bar lines are merely to break up into managable sections
and nothing to do with timing. You will hear how the sections fit.

Thanks for posting this tab Mick it will give me plenty to work on when I get back from a short break, I had a go tonight and can get to grips with the phrasing on the first couple of lines, makes a big diferrence from the plonker version I had figured out
Cheers
Robert

Glad you found it helpful. Makes it worthwhile. :D

For those beginners out there - do not try to do too much in one go. Learn one phrase, then the next and play the two together. When comfortable add the third phrase and so on. Keep going over them until your muscle memory creeps in. you will find that it will soon fit together nicely. :o
