That design was variously badged during the 1960s and thereafter; so unless you can date the control plate to a later period, it could be right . It must be said that the seller is very optimistic as to the rarity and maybe even a little on the value.

I was just comparing the one in the variuos auctions with the picture of my lap steel bought new in the early 80's.........
Maybe I travelled back in time and didn't know it?!?!
