This is my version of "Girl In The Glass". Had fun with this and as usual played on C6 lap steel. The refurbished one.

Really enjoyed that, Mick
Your refurb guitar's sounding great.
Not too sure about the piano break

sounded like the 'band in a box' player was hitting the strings with a toffee hammer
Thanks for posting.

Mick
That was a real treat to hear and the section before the " toffee hammer" flowed sweet like honey and the section after it, made my mouth water, it is very enlightening as to what can be achieved on a " plank " in the hands of someone who has the skill to play it.

Your posts are very enjoyable so please keep them coming, thanks again for making my day
Regards
Robert

Sorry about that. The toffee hammer was me writing in the notes one by one on cubase. Need to have lessons.

I had the pleasure of listening to that, and then stayed on for the next one, "Everybody Hurts" by REM. That's the thing with a steel - you can play stuff from genres you wouldn't immediately think of as a steel tune, but, dammit, Carruthers, it works! Tasty...

I am really going to have to move away from the flavour of this and change the ending slightly. Those very last notes right up high trying to hold a slant when the frets are so close together is quite a task. Might be better to come back down at that point.
