News and views on all things Lap Steel

Winter is here so thought I would spend some time inside and give this one a go. Played on my National D8 - C6 tuning.
I don't know what it is about that guitar. I try others but keep going back to it. Eight strings is about right - 6 not enough and 10 too many.

Thanks for that Danny - fun to play and trying to decide what to play. Quite a number of takes before finally settling on something.
Don't get carried away with praise over the mandolin. Both the backing and mandolin were courtesy of Band in a Box with some crafty cutting and pasting in cubase. You probably recognised the opening on the second steel part after the mandolin - a good old Winnie Winston E9 lick.

10 ain't enough for me. Lol
12 and maybe even 13.
Couldn't live without my 12 though. Too many compromises.
