My National D8 does not have legs so was looking around. JD wanted £100 for a set of four legs and then I have the bother of having sockets made and then drilling into the guitar - not what I really wanted to do. Then I saw this idea on the american blog and decided to go the same way. You have heard of ZumSteel - well this is Zimmer Steel. £30 for a folding zimmer frame and trimmed the legs to height. Works a treat and the rubber grips hold like glue.

Wouldn't the telescopic legs be better?
Looks quite low.
If you need one I am selling my projector stand That i used for my Lap Steel Guitar . That can fit a double neck.
It also has rubber feet with telescopic legs.
You just need to put a rubber mat on it - I use to use the square hot matts from iKea and it stops the Lap Steel Guitar from slipping.

Thanks for the offer but this suits me fine. Height is just right for sitting. Still have the telescopic legs but had to take off when I shortened what was underneath. Just have to drill holes for the spring clips. Sturdy as hell and love it. Will create a stir when you walk in to set up and people will laugh but we need some fun in playing. I remember one night turning up at a gig and realised I had left my bag with bars and picks in at the venue we had played the night before. Spent the evening using my finger nails and the barman looked when I asked for an empty Schweppes tonic water bottle to use as a slide. Worked a treat.
