A couple of months ago I bought a 1959 Framus off ebay. I took a chance buying it but it sounds lovely, just what I was after. It has an old style lead, one I hadn't seen before - the bit on the guitar is like the end of a light bulb and the cable (luckily there was one with it) has a screw style fitting which screws onto the guitar and the other end has a normal jack. I put the jack into a Copicat then that through an amp, and I'm sorted. But I'm thinking that I need to get another cable in case this one packs up at a gig and also could do with a longer one, this one's quite short so I need to be quite close to the Copicat all the time. Does anyone know where I can get these cables or, failing that, the fittings so I could make one up? I can post a picture if that helps.
Thanks all, Ruby

I don't know where you would get one of these older style leads, but as far as extending it, you can buy an extension jack plug, which is basically 2 female jacks, just plug the guitar lead into one side and a normal guitar lead of which ever length you choose onto the other end and bobs your uncle. Just for info everybody...I got one of those leads off the Angela website, the complete jack lead. I got it today and have just tried it on the guitar, works fine and is wa-a-ay longer than the one I already have. Although the postage from USA cost twice as much as the lead! But at least now I have back up which is great. Cheers for the help
