Quite a machine :guitar:

I've always enjoyed the tone of any Sierras that I've heard, and, on reading the specs, these latest models sound amazing. How do you buy a lottery ticket :lol:

I have got a load of money to spare Danny. I received an email this morning from a Mr Umbopa from Nigeria. Mr Umbopa has a fortune in gold bullion that he needs to sell quickly, but needs someone to offer him their bank account for him to store the proceeds of the sale of the gold. In return of my bank account details, he is prepared to give me £64m!! Of course I have given Mr Umbopa my details as he requested including the password to my account, and am now awaiting confirmation from him by email that he has put the money into my account. As soon as I get it will give you the £10K. How cool is that? :lol:

If you do buy one of these guitars, they have a reputation for being ultra heavy instruments. I don't know if the new ones follow in this vein, but weight training sessions at the local gym may be advantageous. :lol:

They do look beautiful and the spec is very impressive.

That is a silly price for a steel guitar, AND if they are so concerned about quality, how come they didn't bother with a proof reader ? Their page (here)http://sierrasteels.com/products/pedal-steel-guitars.html is full of not only typographical errors but complete errors in sentence formulation. Like

I’ve gained a ton of inspiration, ideas and encouragement from various steel builders and their products. I haven’t seen them all, but almost every steel. I’ve seen has had some impact on this project. A huge thanks to all the steel builders who came before me! Lastly, thanks to Chuck Wright (RIP) one of pedal steel’s founding fathers and founder of Sierra Steel Guitars.

AND the business about testing the changer breaking the 3rd string is a complete red herring; as we all know, it's not the changer end that's the problem with the 0.11" 3rd, it's primarily bad technique in fitting the string.
I doubt if Rolls Royce had ANY errors in thier brochures. And this guitar is supposedly going to be the "Rolls Royce" of the steel guitar world, or maybe not; Maybe it's just going to be a "Cadillac" !
All in all, if I was to set out to build a "Super Steel" I would offer Keyed or Keyless and with the keyless an option of short body, OR, Keyless on a same size body as a keyed guitar; Just because the short body of a 'Normal' keyless can feel uncomfortable for some players and it also looks silly if you are (Like Me) rotund or gargantuan in stature..
