Stainless Steel Tone Bar

Postby nevada150 » Mon May 30, 2016 2:14 pm

I recently purchased a 3 1/4" X 7/8" Bar from eBay.UK. The quality of the bar is excellent, polished to a mirror finish and I'm very happy with the tone. The seller's eBay handle is: bens "bitsandbobs" and since they're handmade I imagine that he could produce bars to any requested size, providing that he had the bar stock. They are heavy, but if you requested that the bar be bored out to reduce the weight, I'm sure he could do it for you.

If you have played a BJS bar and a stainless bar you would notice the difference, there is a bit more drag with a stainless bar, but then again it would depend on how well polished it was.

Right Willie, I've wrongly assumed that all shiny metal bars were steel

Hi Guys,
As I said in my original post, the bars are polished to a mirror finish. Follow the link below and you'll see one being made.
I've been in contact with the maker and he's prepared to make longer, shorter bars to suit individual preferences.

Regards ,
Keith.

Just purchased a 15/16 bar from bens*bitsandbobs*. It is a very good bar indeed.
