Dave, actually, it is a 'show off your guitar thread now' cos jimmy has sold his guitar, Ken has got a great guitar, and every one is happy, ive responded re gibson es series on another post, your one looks gorgeous, and ill not argue re best guitar on the planet, can i have it when you die??????? Dont keep me waiting too long!!!!!!!!! BUT your tele's are not the best Tele's in the world, cos i own that one, mine is not even officially a Fender, although it was built in Fullerton, California by Leo, in the original fender factory, my beloved G & L ASAT SPECIAL [apparently ASAT stood for 'another strat, another tele' or was it with reference to the [anti sattelite missile system] given leo's interest in obsession with current technology of the time, ie: telecaster=tv broadcaster, stratocaster=stratosphere, the jury is out, Leo took that secret to his grave,
Ken, 17 guitars in these austere times, is nearly obscene, would love to see a collective picture or at least a list of what you have,

My guitar collection has built up over the years. I don't have anything as exciting as Dave's ES335 unfortunately. It comprises of several Tele's, resonators, Epi Chet Atkins, Blueridge accoustics (best VFM guitars on the planet) Burns guitars, Harmony H75, Les Pauls, several Strats and a number of el cheapo's in my garage that I have not got room for in my music room. I have sold some of my guitars in the past year or so, including a lovely Tele that a former band member pestered me for and that I now regret selling. I wish I had kept one of my ZB D10's that Zane Beck made to order.

I'm making up for a time from when I was a teenager with his nose pressed up against the music shop window lusting after instruments that neither I or my parents could afford. I always wanted a Harmony H75 as a youngster (a poor man's 335), and five years ago sourced a mint condition one in California and had it flown over.

Even now, I still enjoy going into a music store and playing different guitars. I don't have any Gretsch guitars, and that's why I will be getting a modern Country Gent. Most of the old ones have shrunk bindings, twisted necks and other problems.

I also have a Goldtone EBM banjo and an Ozark Eagle banjo, and Ovation mandolin. Have attached some pics (not mine) of a couple of instruments that I own plus one that I want.



My missus is very good. She never moans about me getting instruments or amps, but she thinks that 3 steels is enough.

I only have two Gretsch's
A '79 Chet Atkins Country Gent with no issues(Baldwin year)
A 2000, 6120 in pristine condition.
I also have a nice Tele and a peavey expression.
